Burton Qualifiers Tour Stop 2: Ice Cold New Hampshire

Arctic temps didn’t faze the East Coast’s top up-and-coming riders at New Hampshire’s Loon Mountain for stop 2 of the Burton Qualifiers tour. World-renowned for its thriving snowboard scene and progressive parks, Loon did what they do best and built a setup worthy of jibbing’s currently ridiculous state. Fan the flames with a $20,000 prize purse and the Qualifiers brought some of New England’s finest rail riders out of the woodwork. A mix of burly jibs and flowy, bowled-out transitions offered no shortage of options with multiple options to hit each feature. Safe to say that the entire field was embracing the state’s “Live Free or Die” mentality. When the dust settled, paychecks went to the top three in both the Open and 15 & Under divisions, while the top six in each division got an invite to the tour finals at Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
